They lie and screw their drivers over any way they can. And if you quit them, they leave you stranded 465 miles away from home and make you pay to get you and your belongings home. Show be named Heartless because they are!

i worked for heartless for two weeks needless to say i left after two wks if you like getting screwed than this job is for you you cant get fuel unless they give you permision than you get 58 gal so you ask where is my shower you pay for your shower and fuel at their terminals if you like taking shower in a shit whole this job for you they will not let you have a converter the maint and dispatchers are stupid my dog can do maint on truck better they are a fucking joke but if you like
sitting in terminal maint line to get pretrip done for two hours and than dumm ass comes out and tells you can leave without pretrip but if you like getting fuck please go with heartless allen smith you need to do more research before post review you must be a dumb ass also

With the year 2009 right around the corner and the economy in a fragile condition, I believe that truck drivers need to take their time and research companies before they sign on. I say this because drivers have the tendancy to “move around” from company to company if they’re not satisfied where they are. This sort of behavior is going to be frowned upon and “good companies” are going to be looking at this when they make their final hiring decision. Drivers who never had a problem getting hired, may find themselves without a job, if their employment history does not appear to be stable.

Heartland Express is one of the 38 companies I have spoken about in my most recent book, “The Best Truck Driving Jobs- A State by State Guide” It is also one of the top 5 I have rated in a smaller publication. Needless to say, I believe they are a solid trucking company.

If you are a driver with good qualifications and at least a year experience, I highly recommend this company. Again, do your research before you decide on a company. The days of going from here to there are not going to be tolerated by the major trucking companies. When you find a good company, stick with them. No company is perfect, no job is perfect…life is not perfect.
