I know Prime reads everything here, so I’m going to make it harder for them to ID me by not saying when I came into their company… That being said, here we go:

I got my CDL thru their program and let me list a few, but not all, of the problems that I encountered:

I was hit by a bamboo back scratcher while being screamed at on the first night by a trainer, I was openly discriminated against by trainer and dispatcher for being a disabled combat veteran, my life was threatened, my 80 year old aunt’s life was threatened, I was homosexually propositioned in a hotel room in LA when a trainer’s truck broke down, a trainer had a gun in the truck and told me it was for the “gigaboos at the truckstops”.

I have MANY other things I could say, however it would make it easier for them to find me and I thing you get the picture…

The only requirement of their trainers is they have a CDL for 3 months and they sit in a classroom for three days.

If this doesn’t tell you what you need to know, let me try to at least tell you that you can lease a truck from any other company for less that the $1100-$1300 PER WEEK that Prime will charge you and then they insult your intelligence and tell you that the reason you are not making money is that you are driving faster than 54 miles per hour at 1100 rpm!!!! (LMFAO)

If this isn’t clear enough for you, I wish you the best of luck driver!

Here is my experience with Prime. Recruited by a driver after posting on a site similar to this. Went to orientation Dec 21st thru the 23rd, picked out my lease truck (with 389K on it) got my first load Dec 24th, swung by the house for Christmas and was then out on the road for 5 1/2 weeks before I got back home, after several requests mind you. I am divorced and get my sons every other weekend, after seeing their faces after that 5 1/2 week stint I demanded a load back to Springfield to turn in the truck. Get this, they asked if I’d stay out another week, HA! On the lease, I had to pay around $825.00 a week for the note and insurance, yes, a week. I had 2 weeks in a row of negative settlements and when I left they said I owed them $198.00. When you pick out your truck you are given a piece of paper and pointed towards the available truck, you and you alone are required to find anything wrong with the truck and note it on the piece of paper. When you turn the truck in, they go over it with a fine tooth comb with a certified mechanic for about 3 hours. In other words, you’re screwed. Best advice I got was to save up, buy my own truck if thats what I wanted to do, and lease it on with a company. Just my opinion, but I’d steer clear of Prime.
